Accommodation:

The housing system is very formal in Brown, and each student has the same type of accommodation. The rooms are shared with another person of the same sex. In the summer before starting to study at the University will send you a booklet that includes all the information of your stuff. This pack contains:

Admission:

Brown Admission is highly competitive. In recent years more than 15,000 students have struggled to get one of the 1,400 positions offered by the University. Students wishing to apply for admission to Brown must have completed compulsory secondary education, ie, have completed at least 12 years of schooling.

Proficiency in English:

To study at Brown need to have a very high level of English. You need to understand everything when a teacher talks fast and you have the ability to respond correctly without thinking about the language.

Financing:

Brown University has more than 105 scholarships for foreign students (half figures from 2002-2003). These grants represent money but in the form of tuition, room and board.
