Curtin University

History:

Founded in 1987, Curtin University was chosen by Asiaweek magazine in 1998, 1999 and 2000 as Australia’s leading technical university. Besides the extensive range of over 815 courses leading to Curtin University’s Science and Technology through numerous field research projects that have won numerous awards. Students at Curtin University are offered through partnerships with industry and government, numerous opportunities to apply their theoretical knowledge in practical work. Campus:

The main campus of Curtin University, Bentley, is located about 10 kilometers southeast of Perth. Besides the three campus locations in and around Perth, the University campus or rural locations in Kalgoorlie, 500 km east of Perth in the Goldfields and in Northam, 80km east of Perth. The campus in Malaysia was opened in 1999. The campus was opened in Sydney in June 2005.

Accommodation:

On and in close proximity to the Bentley campus of Curtin University, 1,100 rooms are rented. With few exceptions, the accommodation consists of separate apartments, with six to eight furnished single rooms. Each of these residential sections has its own kitchen, large living room and two bathrooms. The rooms are furnished with bed, including mattress, wardrobe, large desk, lamp, fan and heater.
