Free courses for unemployed workers in Madrid
Now open to choose from 340 free courses offered by the Madrid Business Confederation, CEOE (CISM) in 2012.
These days we have seen the latest unemployment figures in Spain, for the fourth quarter of 2011, which are placed in a 20.33% (almost 4.7 million unemployed, the highest rate for 13 years). In a context of high job demand, low supply, a serious problem of structural unemployment and increased competition, the training specialist is one way to make a difference when looking for employment.
In this sense, and from early January, CISM available to unemployed and more than 340 training courses, the result of the agreement with the Regional Employment Service of the Community of Madrid. There are four modes of delivery of courses: classroom, distance, online and mixed (in which are combined with classroom training online or distance). In general, classroom training is usually given in the afternoon (with some exceptions), so that workers can be made compatible with their attendance hours.
Sectors of activity
Although they may be requested by anyone who meets the requirements, whatever the sector of activity of the company, the training activities are organized around the following areas:
# Prevention of occupational hazards, and environmental quality.
# Computer and communications.
# Personal and interpersonal skills.
# Job Search .
# Community and cultural services.
Requirements and Selection Criteria
The courses can be requested by discharged workers in Social Security (subject to the general, special or self-employed ) and unemployed in the Community of Madrid. They must access the web site of CISM .All courses offered are sorted alphabetically. Pressing on which we are interested, a page with the agenda, industry, schedules, registration dates, start and end, academy that teaches and registration form. There is also a downloadable document in which the courses (though not all) are grouped by sector.
You must know that there is a higher quota of courses for unemployed workers, for which there are also other options , and in agreement with the European Social Fund, there are priorities when it comes to award them. Thus, priority groups are women, immigrants, over 45, disabled, unskilled workers in SMEs or freelancers. But also influences the order of arrival of requests. Indeed, there is a maximum participation limit of 270 hours per student.
How to register
To register, must accompany the application for the course, along with a copy of the DNI and the head of the list (if you’re a worker) and labor demand (if you’re unemployed) to the fax number or address e-mail to indicated on the web , although some schools ask for a document more. A tip: if you do not have a scanner, just shoot (with a digital camera or the mobile) and attach each document. The important thing is that the data are legible.
