HKUST library & other facilities

Sports Facilities:

Hong Kong University of Science and Technology has a variety of indoor and outdoor sports facilities for students, alumni and staff free of charge.

Outdoor venues

University has an all-weather artificial turf soccer field , along with eight-lane all-weather track, grandstand and athletics facilities. In addition, the University also has eight tennis courts , 50m standard swimming pool, basketball court and small football pitch.

Library

Lee Shau Kee Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Library is located in the lobby next to the Hong Kong Jockey Club, a 5-storey, with a total floor area of 10,550 square meters, the collection of about 770,000, with 2,000 seats for students, staff and public use. In line with the 334 new academic structure, the Library is the expansion project is expected to be completed in early 2011 opening.

HKUST Library open to the public during non-examination into the season, the only campus with other university libraries to use the rules differ.

University, a number of restaurants open for students and staff to provide catering services:

-South Kitchen Chinese Restaurant (Chinese restaurant, the Maxim Group Operations)
-LG 7 Kitchen 1 (Asia Pacific Catering Pan-Asian food )
-LG7 Kitchen 2 and Kiosk (Gold Rice Bowl Delicious Food golden rice bowl)
-Can.teen II, Cha Chaan Teng, Baguettes II (by the Maxim Group Operations)
-McDonald (University of Technology is tertiary institutions, the only one with a large American fast food chain McDonald ‘s University.)
-UC Bistro & Uni-Bar
-Seafront Cafeteria (located in the undergraduate dormitories, Block 6, in the evening from 6 pm to 2:00 am the next day to provide students with meal service)
Coffee Shop (sandwiches from the company’s U.S. operations ( Coffee Room)
