Overview of the University:
The university is named after its founder, Johns Hopkins, businessman, bank president and railroad magnate in Baltimore in the mid-nineteenth century. When he died in 1873 at the age of 78 years without having to get married, Hopkins established in his will for the establishment of a university dedicated to high scientific research studies and, as a hospital that would provide the best care. Thanks to his will created the Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Hospital, giving rise to stay for the first time directly linked a hospital and a university in the United States.
John Hopkins is currently one of the most recognized universities and most prestigious U.S. (Click here to see the timeline ). In 2003 there were only 5.500 and postgraduate university students studying in the university and now has students from every state and more than 80 countries worldwide. The Johns Hopkins University emphasizes both the Apprenticeship and research. The University welcomes everyone to participate and be part of its history, and enjoy everything that can give you. Office of Admission:
Each international applicant must submit the exam SAT I, SAT I is the test to evaluate verbal ability, general and quantitative. Unless English is your native language, you have to prove that you have submitted to the examination of TOEFL .The Johns Hopkins University requires international students to submit a score above 600 (paper test) and 250 (computer test). But if you file a grade higher than 670 on the SAT I oral exam, you have to do the TOEFL.
