University of Huddersfield is a university in the town of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. It has around 20,000 students and is located near the center of town. Chancellor is the agent Patrick Stewart, who is originally from Mirfield. The University of Huddersfield has scored highly for student satisfaction in 2005, 2006 and 2007 student surveys nationwide. Huddersfield was ranked first joint also out of all Yorkshire universities for high quality staff and lectures on research survey panel opinion in 2007.
The University of Huddersfield has an international reputation for research in a range of topics. The University Center for Precision Technologies is widely regarded as the best in the United Kingdom and the one of the top three in Europe, and the new sonic research lab for music students will be the first of its class in England. The University is further developing its research and business with significant new investment including the appointment of 20 new teachers.

Queensgate Campus:
The university’s main campus Huddersfield, Queensgate Campus can be found southeast of Huddersfield Town Centre. £ 70 million has been invested too much in the campus and its resources over the last 10 years, including:
-£1million of after the renovation work, the student center was opened by Chancellor Patrick Stewart of the University in November 2007. The center allows students to access a range of support services – computers, libraries, careers, welfare aid – in a single location.
-Building students ‘union on a £ 4million’ was opened in 2005 and offers a variety of social, leisure and retail facilities.
-Lifts open Patrick Stewart’s new drama at the restored building of Milton in 2005 and described the trial and the space function as among the best he had seen anywhere in the world.
A building of the century advanced, the Creative Arts Building, is currently under construction. To be completed in 2008, the building contains a hall of the decree, an electro-acoustic study of cutting edge research, new studies of art and design and live recording facilities. Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh visited the college in May 2007 to unveil the foundation stone of the new Creative Arts building. The royal party enjoyed Indian cuisine in the central services of the university built in the south before moving on to greet crowds at the St. George Square.
University Centre Oldham:
University Centre Oldham, located in Oldham, Greater Manchester, was opened in May 2005.The center provides modern facilities and fully equipped rooms including art work, website, multimedia study of drama, contemporary theater conference, IT facilities and learning resource center. £ 5million is currently investing in developing a second phase of the university center. The new building will contain topics including construction, architectural technology and interior design, performance, technical theater, multimedia and journalism. The first graduation ceremony was held at Queen Elizabeth Hall, Oldham in November 2006.
University Centre Barnsley:
Barnsley College Center located in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, was opened in 2005. The center offers specialist facilities for subjects such as music production, art and design, journalism and the media. The facility includes a wireless system throughout the building, video communication, team web casting and a suite of digital studios industries. The first graduation ceremony was held at Barnsley Town Hall in November 2006, Chancellor Patrick Stewart was there and Darren Gough was presented with an honorary degree.
