It is also one of the leading universities in research and over the years has attracted a large number of teachers awarded.
Offers degrees in 88 areas and master in 86 different disciplines, as well as 58 doctoral specializations.
One of every 57 people in Chicago and one in ten college graduates in the city have earned this title at UIC. It is also an important source of teachers for public schools in Chicago.

The application form completed and signed (but only originals accepted).The application fee of $ 50 (in dollars)
Proof that you have proficiency in English through the accreditation of the TOEFL score of at least 520 or 190 at the Computer-based testing. For the Colleges of Nursing, Pharmacy, Applied Health Sciences and the Graduate College requires a minimum of 550 or 213 on the computer-based testing. TOEFL scores over two years old are not valid. Applicants whose TOEFL scores can not meet the required studying English Español Tutorium in Intensive on campus.
Proof of financial solvency: This test may be a Financial Statement (available from the Admissions Office) notarized Affidavit of Support A (INS Form I-134) available in the immigration service of the United States, or a notary certification. Each of these documents must be accompanied by an original and certified copy of a bank statement showing proof of sufficient funds in dollars to cover expenses.
Academic credentials include:
- List of all subjects or courses that have been studied each year.
- High and low notes that can be obtained.
- Certified translation into English of all these credentials.
Applicants “freshman” (novice) also need to submit:
- Ratings official American College Test (ACT) or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT-I)
- Diploma of the Institute or certified as having completed secondary education.
Applicants “transfer” (transfer) also need to submit:
- Titles, certificates, diplomas they have obtained matched by performance.
- Government programs in English to describe the work done in each subject.
Applicants to the College of Nursing and the College of Health Sciences and Human Development must also submit special reports that can be obtained from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (for the College of Nursing) and the Education Credential Evaluators ( for the College of Health and Human Development Sciences).
Applicants who wish to place on the Graduate College should consult the application deadlines for their particular program and whether it has additional requirements.
